On December 20, 1995, the Boeing 757 flying this route crashed into a mountain in Buga, Colombia, around 9:40 pm local time killing 151 of the 155 passengers and all 8 crew members.

Pablo Ruiz Picasso was a Spanish painter and sculptor who spent most of his adult life in France.
